Inspiring Hope And The Right To Dream…

Dreaming Woman is a non-profit organisation established as a charitable relief agency servicing Indigenous communities and the conservation of land. We offer the following assistance in the way of funds and opportunities.

The organisation will:

  • support various groups in the construction of eco-sustainable schools, hospitals and housing

  • supply and promote the use of sustainable energy

  • provide necessities such as clothing, food, educational material, toys, blankets etc for underprivileged children

  • increase awareness of health and nutrition

  • supply and support educational projects for women and children

  • supporting the purchase of land for conservation

We have been supporting projects from 2012.

Until now 100% of all money donated went towards the projects. Starting 2017, 80% of money donated will go to projects and 20% will go towards administration.

Mission statement:

Dreaming Woman was created to assist in healing and empowering the feminine energy.

The aim is to support the conservation of land. To support education amongst Indigenous people that ultimately will bring forth their Independence and conserve their cultures.

Our mission is to bring unity and healing amongst all people. To create opportunities and bring hope to disadvantaged women and children by offering educational material, clothing, and other needed supplies.

Helping to empower.

Projects

  • Dreaming Woman sent $850 to Claudia - a Shipibo shaman from Peru who was in desperate need of eye surgery and financial support.

Sadly her partner and one of my great teachers Don Alfredo had passed away. The Corona Virus has made life very difficult in Iquitos. Without tourist that can not make money to support themselves.

I was inspired to create a meditation in order to raise money for Claudia. Thank you to all who had donated some money. I raised $400 and Dreaming Woman added the rest. In total $850 was sent. The surgery was a success and Claudia has her eye-site. It doesn’t take much to make a difference.

  • I travelled to the Amazon to Iquitos Peru. Delivered clothes, toys, books and crayons/ pencils to under privileged children in local villages and orphanage, much to their delight. Also purchased much needed food supplies.

Thank you to all for the generous contributions.

  • A fund raiser was created called Love Inspires bringing people together from 12 countries in meditation as well as raising money for the Indiginous people in Guatemala and building a hospital.

Dreaming Woman donated $2,800 to Viktor Moasyr of the Guatemalan Project. to purchase school supplies for the underprivileged children of Indigenous communities in Rio Dulce, Guatemala.

Photos of donations being given to the kids are on the Dreaming Woman facebook page.

  • Many children attract worms in Guatemala which causes starvation, and if not treated, death. The cost of the tablets are AUD0.32 cents and they need two per year. We travelled across the country distributing them at local schools and isolated communities.

In 2012, Dreaming Woman raised $3,800 for the following:

    • The purchase of worm tablets to de-worm children.

    • Vitamins

    • Warm clothing, shoes and blankets that were generously donated and shipped to Guatemala

    • Construction of a floor for a class room

    • Electrical wiring for the first Shaman School built in Lake Atitlan

    • 100 stoves that use 70% less wood – great for the environment and easier for women to use

We made a documentary about our trip, called Worm Busters.

Thank you to all the friends in Sydney for all your support and incredible generosity. We can make a difference!

  • The goal was to build an eco-sustainable hospital, birthing centre and school in the jungle of Guatemala.

This project was to assist local villages whose closest medical help is a six hour walk away.

Currently the Indigenous communities in this area are been threatened by mining companies. Their land has been taken away, their rivers poisoned and lives have been threatened.

Dreaming Woman helped to start up this project by raising $9,680.

With the money raised by Dreaming Woman, the following has been completed:

    • a road built to enable enable easy access to the site, especially during the wet season

    • toilets and showers

    • walls and floor of the hospital
